Partner with the Scarlet Hope Outreach

Scarlet Hope is a ministry that shares the hope and love of Jesus with women in the adult entertainment industry through consistent outreach, discipleship, and community. Annually, they host Go & Tell Mission Trips and mobilize trained teams to carry the hope of Jesus into cities during large-scale events and “high-demand” seasons.

We’re excited for the opportunity to join with a Go & Tell trip from June 16-19, in Los Angeles, CA during the FIFA World Cup. Our very own Jennifer Williams & Rosie Lopez will be members of the LA Outreach Team! Would you join us in prayer for the team, consider how you could come alongside Jennifer & Rosie as they prepare to “go,” and be on the lookout for more ways to partner with Scarlet Hope coming to you soon. You can download the prayer guide here.

Members’ Meeting June 7th

PLEASE MAKE THIS MEETING A PRIORITY

Every six months, we hold a brief members’ meeting right after our Sunday service. These meetings last about 45 minutes and are filled with information you don’t want to miss. We’ll look back on what God has done in the last 6 months and look forward to where we believe he’s taking us. Come eager to hear what the Lord is doing to spread the joy of Jesus in Santa Ana - and beyond!

IMMEDIATELY AFTER SERVICE. MEMBERS REQUIRED, GUESTS WELCOME

The 2nd Commandment

NO IMAGES OR IDOLS

The first commandment requires us to worship the right God. The second is all about worshiping the right God the right way. When we bow down in worship, we must not bow down to idols. We must not remake God in our image. We must realize that we are God's imagers. We must have that image restored in us through Jesus Christ - the One True Image of the Invisible God (Col 1:15).

Final Youth Fundraiser

PARENT’S NIGHT OUT - MAY 30

The CGSA Youth have one last fundraiser for the Western Region Youth Camp in July! We’d love if you can support them one more time. We’ve got another Parent's Night Out on the books for on Saturday, 5/30 at the Houlton home in Santa Ana. Our youth - along with Ministry Safe approved adults - will be babysitting kids from 5pm-8pm. They'll be well taken care of while you enjoy your evening. Please sign-up here.

If you are unable to participate in the Parent’s Night Out but want to support our youth, we have a couple scholarship opportunities available. It’s $300 to sponsor a student for camp, but any amount is appreciated. Please donate to our general fund (no notes) and email youth@crossofgracesa.org with a screenshot of the amount you are donating so we can allocate appropriately.

Save the Date for the French Park Block Party

SATURDAY, JUNE 27TH AT 4PM

For the 5th year in a row, we’re bringing an afternoon of food, fun, and community to our French Park neighbors! This June, we’re throwing a party to give our neighbors a glimpse of the joy we have in Jesus. It’s our biggest event of the year, full of opportunities to get to know our neighbors, offer prayer, make invites to church, and strike up spiritual conversations.

More details to come. But for now, mark your calendars for an evening of blessing our community and painting French Park blue.

Men's Meeting

EVERY 2ND THURSDAY OF THE MONTH

Tonight, the men of Cross of Grace will gather together to sit under the word, bear their brother’s burdens, and call out to the Lord in prayer. They’ll talk about the 1st Commandment and discuss what it means to worship the One True and Living God with all we’ve got. All guys 15 years and older are welcome to join in at the Robles’ home at 7pm.

The 1st Commandment

NO OTHER GODS

We’ve just begun a mini-series in the 10 Commandments. We’ll be taking each one and asking, “What does it forbid?’” “What does it require?” And “How is it fully realized in Jesus?” The very first of the 10 Words is a word about worship. But it's not a command telling us to worship. It's a command assuming we will worship. The heart of the matter is not whether we will worship, but what we will worship. It's for this reason that God says, "You shall have no other gods before me" (20:3). Meaning: 1) Don't place anything else on the throne of your heart. 2) Do glorify God with everything you've got. And, 3) to see what this looks like on full display and draw near to the God you've so often dethroned, look to Jesus Christ. The One who gave his all to God, and then gave his all for us.
