Every six months, we hold a brief members’ meeting right after our Sunday service. These meetings last about 45 minutes and are filled with information you don’t want to miss. We’ll look back on what God has done in the last 6 months and look forward to where we believe he’s taking us. Come eager to hear what the Lord is doing to spread the joy of Jesus in Santa Ana - and beyond!
Are you ready to place your faith in Jesus? Then sign up to be baptized! We’re hosting our final baptism ceremony of the year right after church on Sunday, 11/1. We’ll gather at the Lee home to celebrate the saving work of God and share lunch together.
Baptism marks the beginning of the Christian life. It’s that moment when we confess with our mouth what we’ve believed in our heart (Rom 10:9-10). Standing in the presence of God and his people to profess our faith in the sacrificial death and victorious resurrection of Jesus. Signifying our personal share in his dying and rising as we’re immersed into the water and buried with Christ and then raised up with him to walk in newness of life (Rom 6:3-5). Experiencing the work of the Spirit as he seals the grace and promises of the gospel upon our heart.

The Bridge Course started up last night! We kicked off our exploration of the Christian faith by asking the question, “Can we be good enough to get to heaven?” It was a rich time together as we shared a meal, watched a talk, and then discussed what it takes for us to get to God.
We’ve got 9 weeks of good food and honest conversations to go! Here are the questions we’ll be asking with our neighbors:
Week 2 - “Why doesn’t God forgive everyone?”
Week 3 - “How can God allow suffering?”
Week 4 - “How could God send people to hell?”
Week 5 - “Can we really trust the Bible?”
Week 6 - “Is Jesus really the only way?”
Week 7 - “Why did Jesus have to die?”
Week 8 - “Why do we matter?”
Week 9 - “What will really satisfy?”
Week 10 - “Does church still matter today?”

The Bridge Course is back September 14th! We’re gearing up for 10 weeks of building community, wrestling with life’s big questions, and exploring the Christian faith with our Santa Ana neighbors.
Pray - Pray for the course this fall. Asking God to go before us, bring guests around the table, and open their eyes to the glory of Christ. Ask God to burden your heart for someone you could bring, and then ask for the boldness to invite them!
Outreach - Pray and then go! Make the invite, share the info on social media, and tell a friend, family member, or co-worker about the Bridge. In addition to this, make plans to go into our city on Saturday, September 12th to extend the invite to our neighbors in French Park and DTSA. We’ll meet at the Ebell at 9:45am and then spread out across our neighborhood. RSVP with Brian Marcus.
Serve - Volunteer with the course. We are in need of female volunteers to facilitate table discussion and a few more meals. Sign-up to volunteer or book a meal.

Get ready to watch Jesus build his church right before our eyes. Celebrating new life in Christ and welcoming new members into our family. During the service we’ll receive new members. Immediately afterward, we’ll head over to the Lee home for the baptism ceremony and a hotdog lunch.

Each fall, we host The Bridge Course. 10 weeks of wrestling through life's biggest questions, having honest conversations, and exploring the Christian faith. Each week begins with a meal followed by a talk that addresses common questions about life and God. Afterward there is a small-group conversation where participants can share what they believe, ask any questions they have, or just sit back and listen. No one will be called upon, pressured to talk, or forced to believe anything. Click here to learn more about how it works.
Because the course creates a context for us to befriend our neighbors, show them the joy we have in Jesus, and invite them to receive it for themselves. How great is that! Our goal is that each of us would invite at least one neighbor, family member, co-worker, or friend who is not yet a Christian, not sure what they believe, or is new to the faith and looking to learn more to join in. On August 28, we’re gathering together with other local churches in our city to worship God and pray for revival. We’ll share in the joy of Jesus together and be freshly fueled to spread it all throughout Santa Ana. We’ll fellowship with other believers. We’ll ask for Christ’s prayer to be realized in us, “that they may all be one…so that the world may believe that you have sent me” (Jn 17:21).
