1. Joining the neighborhood outreach Saturday, June 21st from 10am-12pm. Meet at the Hidden House parking lot and come invite our neighbors to party with us!

2. Pick up print flyers from church this Sunday and spread the word to your neighbors and throughout the community.

3. Sharing the digital flyer located here with Santa Ana neighbors in via social media.

4. Sign up to volunteer at the Block Party here.

3 ELEMENTARY GRADUATES. 3 JUNIOR HIGH GRADUATES. 2 HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATES.

This Sunday, we recognized and prayed over 8 young people who are transitioning from one chapter of life and learning to the next. Moving up to new grade levels, new Children’s Ministry classes, and new participation in our CGSA Youth Group. We’re grateful for God’s grace in their lives and excited to see how he works in and through them in this next season.

God has blessed our church with the gift of many children! Would he empower our parents to raise them up, position his church to come alongside, and prepare the next generation of men and women who will carry on our mission.

LET’S SING THE SONG OF PSALM 145

It’s our ambition that Cross of Grace Church would be a church that sings the song of Ps 145. One in which “one generation shall commend” the mighty works of God “to another.” Speaking of his “might” and “awesome deeds.” Declaring his “glorious splendor” and celebrating the “greatness” of his grace. So that the “fame” of his ‘abundant goodness” would continue to “pour forth” from our mouths, in our homes, on the lips of the next generation, and out into our city for years to come (Ps 145:4-7).

GRAB A FRIEND AND GO INTO OUR CITY

Summer is here, which means there are so many opportunities to be among our neighbors and enjoy life together. Here are a few ways you can spend the summer in our city:

• Summer Movies are back! Every Friday from June 6 to July 25 (with the exception of July 4), spend your evenings under the stars. Movies take place at rotating parks throughout Santa Ana and they begin at sundown, but the fun starts early!

  Arrive at 6:30 p.m. for exciting pre-show activities including:

  • Kids' games

  • Arts & crafts

  • Local exhibitor booths

  Free popcorn will be available while supplies last! Feel free to bring your own picnic, lawn chairs, and snacks to make it a cozy night out. For the full movie lineup and park locations, visit: www.santa-ana.org/summer-movie-series

• Fourth of July Celebration. The City of Santa Ana's annual Fourth of July celebration will once again be taking place this year at Centennial Park, on Friday, July 4, 2025 from 5 - 9 p.m. This free community event will include live music, food vendors, inflatables, and an amazing firework show. • Recreational swim is open. The pools at El Salvador Community Center Pool, Jerome Recreation Center Pool, Salgado Recreation Center Pool are open from June 2-August 9. Daily entrance fee available for purchase on-site with cash only. Summer 2025 season passes available and provide unlimited access to recreation swim at all pools.

WHAT SHOULD YOU EXPECT OF HIM?

Christ is the head of the household that is the Church - the Chief Shepherd and Overseer of our souls (Eph 5:23; 1 Pet 2:25). But in his grace he gives qualified leaders to communicate his care, equip his people, and build up his house. These leaders are called pastors. But what is a pastor? What should he do? What kind of man must he be? Listen to the sermon to learn more about what you should expect from your pastors and be encouraged by our Great Shepherd’s good design for our church.

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL OUR 2025 GRADUATES!

It’s graduation season! This Sunday, we’ll be recognizing our kids who are promoting/graduating from elementary, junior high, and high school. We’ll take the time to honor our graduates, present them with a gift, and pray for the next generation of Cross of Grace Santa Ana.

Additionally, this Sunday, all children ages 4 through 6th grade will move up to their new grade level Children’s Ministry Class.

WE’VE GOT FIVE DEACON CANDIDATES - WE NEED YOUR FEEDBACK

We’ve got a group of members we’ve been assessing and equipping to serve in the office of deacon. Your pastoral team commends each of these individuals as faithful saints who have displayed a heart for service and met the qualifications of a deacon as outlined in Scripture. We hope to install them before the church on Sunday, 6/8.

But before we get there, we want to hear from you. These candidates will be positioned to serve you in significant ways so we’re asking for your feedback on what you see in their lives and their suitability for the office.

8 Deacons likewise must be dignified, not double-tongued, not addicted to much wine, not greedy for dishonest gain. 9 They must hold the mystery of the faith with a clear conscience. 10 And let them also be tested first; then let them serve as deacons if they prove themselves blameless. 11 The women likewise must be dignified, not slanderers, but sober-minded, faithful in all things.12 Let deacons each be the husband of one wife, managing their children and their own households well. 13 For those who serve well as deacons gain a good standing for themselves and also great confidence in the faith that is in Christ Jesus.
