Pray for the Spring 2026 Bridge Course

PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE

Beginning March 16th, we’re hosting a streamlined version of our regular fall course. Not the usual five-lane “Golden Gate Bridge,” complete with dinner and a larger volunteer team. But a two-lane “pedestrian bridge,” with coffee & dessert and a smaller crew.

But make no mistake, we’ve still got big expectations of what God will do through this 10-week exploration of the Christian faith. We’ll wrestle with the big questions of life, build relationships with our neighbors, and dive into honest conversations where all perspectives are welcomed.

3 WAYS TO PRAY

  1. Pray about who you’ll bring - Who in your life is seeking answers, isn’t sure what they believe, or has doubts about Christianity? Ask the Lord to give you eyes to see the family members, friends, co-workers, and neighbors who are far from him and burden you for their salvation.

  2. Pray for boldness - Next, pray for boldness to open your mouth, send that text, share the link, and invite them to Bridge. Ask God for opportunities to talk about spiritual things and then seize the moment to welcome them to Bridge and keep the conversation going. Pray urgently over these next 2 weeks leading up to the course for your brothers and sisters at Cross of Grace as they do the same.

  3. Pray for open hearts - Finally, pray that God would go before you, cause your words of welcome to land on fertile soil, and begin drawing our guests to himself. Pray that he would bring your friends, family, and neighbors to Bridge so that they could catch a glimpse of our joy. Pray that the joy we have in Jesus would become a joy they’d soon share with us.

Behold the Lamb of God

WHO GAVE HIMSELF FOR YOU

Jesus established the Lord’s Supper while eating the Passover meal. On the night before his death, he and his friends gathered around a table with a whole roasted lamb lying right in the center. In this moment he revealed that the true meaning of the celebration wasn’t the lamb upon the table, but the Lamb presiding over the table! That he was what it was really all about. The one true Lamb of God that would be offered to redeem his people forevermore. Fast forward to 2026. We’re on the other side of the cross. We know that "Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed for us" (1 Cor 5:7). But we're separated from the urgency, the embodied reality, and the historical happening of that moment. We struggle to believe because we cannot see. So God gives us communion: a special means of beholding the lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world through the broken bread and poured out cup.

The hope is for the ladies to deepen their understanding of the Holy Spirit and grow their faith through the next few meetings. Reading is encouraged but not required. Communion Dinner this Sunday

IT’S TIME TO FEAST

Our annual Communion Dinner is this Sunday, March 1st at 5:00pm. Morning service is cancelled for a celebration of the Lord’s Supper over the course of a full meal. We’ll eat, drink, and behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world through the broken bread and poured out cup. You can look at last year’s photos here.

ALL ARE WELCOME

Here are a couple details to help you and your guests make the most of the time:

  • This is a family dinner so our kids will join us for the meal. No Children’s Ministry classes will be offered this Sunday but coloring sheets will be provided.

  • You’re encouraged to invite your friends, family, and neighbors to hear, see, smell, touch, and even, taste the gospel in a special way.

  • Everyone is welcome to enjoy dinner and share in the common meal with us.

  • All those who have professed faith in Christ and been baptized are welcome to participate in Communion and receive the bread and cup with us - whether members, kids, or guests.

  • If you haven’t been baptized but are interested in taking this first step of the Christian life, talk to a pastor. They’d be happy to tell you more about what it means to believe in Jesus and profess your faith through baptism.

WE NEED YOUR HELP TO PREPARE

Not only will we share in the eating of a meal, we’ll share in its preparation. Households of every size, please sign-up to bring a dish or dessert at the link below. Reach out to Liz if you want to help with setup & tear down, decor, photography, or serving the meal.

Will Life with God Really Satisfy?

EXODUS 15:22-17:7

This past Sunday, we read through 3 different scenes, 3 different stories about food and water. All filled with the same pattern of hungering or thirsting which gives way to grumbling and complaining. All really asking one and the same question: “Will God give us what we need to stay alive?” Yet, beyond this immediate need, there’s a deeper question still: "Will God really satisfy?" At this point in the journey, Israel has been freed from slavery in Egypt, but they're wondering if life is actually better with God. Ex 15:22-17:7 shows us that nothing satisfies like life with the Savior.
