Graduation Sunday Recap

3 JUNIOR HIGH GRADUATES. 2 PRESCHOOL GRADUATES.

This past Sunday we had the privilege of celebrating a special moment in the life of our church. We recognized and prayed over 5 young people who are transitioning from one level of our children’s and youth ministry onto the next. We’re grateful for God’s grace in their lives and excited to see how he works in and through them in this new chapter.

Would the Lord bless our kids, cause his gospel to take root in their hearts, and raise up the next generation of men and women who will carry on the mission of Cross of Grace Church!

Jesus is the King of Peace

CAST ALL YOUR HOPES AND CARES ON HIM

On Sunday, we were joined by guest preacher Jackson Tran who encouraged us to rest our souls in Christ. As we've been reflecting on in our Isaiah sermon series, we live in a cultural moment where it's harder than ever to be an ordinary Christian. Where can we look to find peace for our troubled times and peace for our troubled souls? Luke 19:28-44 tells us to look no further than Jesus Christ. The humble King who not only announces, but has achieved, true peace. A peace he offers to the weary Christian who is tossed around by the waves of the world and the temptations within. A peace he extends to our neighbors who still remain under the wrath to come.

We're Singing a New Song this Sunday

CHRIST OUR HOPE IN LIFE AND DEATH

“What is our only hope in life and death? Christ alone, Christ alone. What is our only confidence? That our souls to him belong.” We can sing with joy today because he holds us in his hands. We can endure every tomorrow because nothing comes apart from his command. We can look forward to that Great Day when we enter everlasting life with him because he is risen and will return for his own. Prepare to celebrate all this and more as we sing this a new song this Sunday. Listen to it here and read the lyrics below to prepare your heart for worship.

Verse 1

What is our hope in life and death?

Christ alone, Christ alone.

What is our only confidence?

That our souls to Him belong.

Who holds our days within His hand?

What comes, apart from His command?

And what will keep us to the end?

The love of Christ, in which we stand.

Chorus

O sing hallelujah!

Our hope springs eternal;

O sing hallelujah!

Now and ever we confess

Christ our hope in life and death.

Verse 2

What truth can calm the troubled soul?

God is good, God is good.

Where is His grace and goodness known?

In our great Redeemer’s blood.

Who holds our faith when fears arise?

Who stands above the stormy trial?

Who sends the waves that bring us nigh

Unto the shore, the rock of Christ?

Verse 3

Unto the grave, what shall we sing?

“Christ, He lives; Christ, He lives!”

And what reward will heaven bring?

Everlasting life with Him.

There we will rise to meet the Lord,

Then sin and death will be destroyed,

And we will feast in endless joy,

When Christ is ours forevermore.

Get Involved with the French Park Block Party

SATURDAY, JUNE 22ND AT 4:00PM

For a third year in a row, we’re bringing an afternoon of food, fun, and community to the French Park neighborhood! We’re throwing a party to bless our neighbors, build relationships with them, and be a compelling witness to the joy that’s found in Jesus.

But to do this, we need your help! This is our biggest event of the year and we’ll need all hands on deck to make it happen. There are many ways you can contribute to the celebration: pre-party neighborhood outreach & promotion, event set-up & clean-up, serving food, facilitating games, bringing key supplies, and more! Sign up below and contact Robert Lopez or our Church Administrator at office@crossofgracesa.org with any questions. Otherwise, start sharing the digital flier with your friends and pray that the Lord uses this event for the salvation and overall good of Santa Ana neighbors.
