A CELEBRATION OF OUR UNITY IN CHRIST IN THE MIDST OF OUR DIVERSITY

On Sunday, September 11th, we’ll be hosting our fourth annual “Festival of Nations”. Coinciding with Fiestas Patrias and Dia De La Independencia, we want to celebrate what God has built in our church through the Gospel - the gathering of people from all different nationalities and heritages into one new family in Christ.

HOW CAN YOU PREPARE?

1. Bring a dish (entrée, dessert or side) representing your national heritage. Bring your best effort. The results will be judged and the “Best In The World” award will be given to the individual whose dish impressed the most. Multiple dishes per family are ok! 

2. Join us on Sunday, September 11th at 4pm in the Schlieder backyard in the heart of Santa Ana.

OUR GOAL: EVERY HOUSEHOLD IN THE CHURCH

Celebration 2022 is right around the corner, and you don’t want to miss out! For those who don’t know, this is an annual weekend retreat with all the Sovereign Grace churches in California. There’s games, music, encouraging messages, activities for all ages, and plenty of time to relax with friends. Here’s what you need to know:

• When: Sept 30th-Oct 2nd

• Where: Idyllwild, CA

• Who: CGSA, Sovereign Grace Church of Orance, and Sovereign Grace Pasadena

REGISTER BY SEPTEMBER 18TH

Registration is now open. Our goal is that every household in the church attends. If you’re thinking of not going or there’s something keeping you from registering, please reach out to the pastoral team. Jeff and Kyle are ready to help you out. The sooner you sign up, the better. BRING YOUR LUNCH TO FRENCH PARK AFTER SERVICE THIS SUNDAY

After service this Sunday, head over to French Park to eat lunch and enjoy one another’s company while in the midst of the neighborhood God has placed us in. Here are the details:

• It’s “BYOL” (bring your own lunch). If you forget your lunch or your favorite lunchbox isn’t clean, there are plenty of great restaurants nearby in DTSA.

• It’s optional - but we highly encourage coming!

• Bring some folding chairs - unless you like sitting on the grass, bring something to sit on.

• Expect the Lord to build existing relationships and create new ones with our neighbors

BE THERE THIS SATURDAY FROM 4PM-7PM

Our Block Party is finally here! You’ve been praying for the Lord to give us opportunities to spread the joy of Jesus to our Santa Ana neighbors. You’ve been looking for ways to make the church’s neighbors your neighbors. Well, here’s one of the biggest opportunities we’ve ever had. On Saturday, we’ll gather within and with the whole French park community. Make this the most important thing on your calendar this Saturday. Sign up to volunteer if you haven’t yet. Post the invite to your social media accounts. Invite other Santa Ana neighbors. Above all, pray that God would spread the joy of His Son through us this weekend. SATURDAY, JULY 30 AT 4PM

Announcing our first-ever French Park Block Party! This July, we’re making plans to go into our neighborhood so that we can get to know our neighbors. We’re throwing a party so that our neighbors would catch a glimpse of the joy we have in Jesus. We’ll invite them to join us for tacos, music, and games so that we can show our neighbors how glad we are to be their neighbors.

More details to come. But for now, mark your calendars for a fun night of summer fun, meeting our neighbors, making new friends, and extending God’s welcome to the people of French Park.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

We’re excited to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ with you. Here’s how you can prepare to make the most of it:

1. As we do every Easter Sunday, Pastor Kyle will be preaching a bilingual homily. Come ready to hear God’s word proclaimed in English and in Spanish.

2. We’ll also have a photo booth before and after service, beginning at 9:30 am. Come dressed to impress.

3. While we are canceling our regular Children’s Ministry program, there will be special activities for the kids that they won’t want to miss! Kids, come ready for a special treat!
