November First Friday Fast
FRIDAY, November 1st
This year, we'll be spending the first Friday of every month fasting together and praying for a particular topic. Church members who fast for all 12 Fridays will be invited to a year-end party to celebrate the answers to our prayers. If fasting is new to you, here are some instructions.
This month, we’ll be praying for our local leaders. This month, a special election is being held for the vacant city council seat in Ward 4. In addition, a ballot measure to re-zone the wards of the city and the Santa Ana School Board are up for vote.
Pray for those who are currently in seats of government and leadership. God clearly instructs us to pray for them in 1 Tim. 2:1-2 “… I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions …”
Pray for God’s sovereign direction over the election of officials in this November election
Pray that members of our church would trust God with our local government and politics, yet also play the role that our laws afford us in voting to ensure that men and women of character are leading our city
Pray for justice and mercy to be meted out (Micah 6:8) to the vulnerable through the efforts of local officials
